Llama Llama mad at mama by Anna Dewdney rhymes you through a shopping trip with a youngster who is not happy about doing errands with mom. In the end, the youngster realizes that it was a great day just to be with mom.

This book is a mother/son book. As a mother of two sons, I particularly appreciated the shopping trip analogy, but the rhyming in the book will encourage phonetic awareness. I added a scripture verse below which speaks about honoring our mothers.

Proverbs 1: 8-9
“Listen, my son, to your father’s instruction and do not forsake your mother’s teaching. They are a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck.”
